This piece expresses the inherent stregth and resilience of young"black" boys all over the world. Many generations of men had to endure hard childhoods and thus have had their most precious years stripped from them.
While many of these young men are able to perservere and overcome what often times seems like insurmountable obstacles and circumstances; many more sucomb to the horrific childhood conditions upon which they face. From children in The Congo, mining precious stones and metals for your everyday Iphone or Galaxy, to young men in America and the Carribean having to either slave for pennies or put themselves in countless risky situations in order to survive.
This piece takes a moment to think about and honor the young boys out here, striving everyday to stay alive, stay free and reach manhood in one piece.
